The 2024 WNBA has finally returned from the month-long All-Star and Olympic hiatus and I will once again be here breaking down the top picks on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays this season. Join me as we build our bankrolls this summer!

Last time out we repeated our mantra loyally: Rickea Jackson Over 11.5 Points: Any Team. Any Time. Any Place. It took 39 minutes and 14.9 seconds but with 45.1 ticks left on the clock in what would be a 35-point loss Rickea Jackson hit an 8-footer to get to 13 points and refill our cauffers. Just one more reason to love betting the W because you are not seeing a star like Jackson getting that chance in a 35-point loss in the NBA. She’s so money that Vegas finally decided that setting her line at 11.5 was giving away money and moved it 12.5 for today’s game against the Sky.

Feel free to bet her line again (Any team, any time, any place) but I will be focusing on the middle game of Saturday’s three-game slate. Rest assured, I will be playing RJ’s scoring line but without further ado, let’s get to it!

Saturday’s Best WNBA Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

New York Liberty (+120) at Las Vegas Aces (-2.5) | O/U 174 (-108/-112)

The three inevitable certainties of life are death, taxes, and the New York Liberty as underdogs. It doesn’t happen often that you can get the team with the best record in the W for plus money, but when it does, you bring down Thor’s hammer on it. Case in point, the last time these two teams met the Lib were 2.5-point dogs, but emerged victorious 90-82!

Both teams should be fully rested. This will be Vegas’ first game since the break and despite playing on Thursday, New York took a fire hose to the Sparks, leaving only ashes in a 35-point annihilation so their stars will be locked and loaded.

The Liberty are 2-0 as underdogs this season, both straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS), and are currently on a five-game winning streak dating back to before the break. The Aces come in having lost their last three games heading into the break and are 4-7 ATS on the road. I’m really not sure how to explain the Aces being favored, even in Vegas, with the pre-break trajectories of these squads as well as how the Liberty showed zero rust on Thursday. It can’t be the Vegas vibes because the Aces are just 8-5 SU at home while the Liberty are 10-3 SU on the road (9-4 ATS).

This matinee is a rematch of last year’s WNBA Finals and perhaps that championship DNA is what is baked into this line giving the Aces the odds advantage, including casual money. Vegas can obviously win this game and someone has to be favored, but that doesn’t necessarily mean someone has to be offering plus value in a heavyweight bout like this. Make sure to wield Mjollnir with the full strength of a Norse god on this moneyline and take advantage!

WNBA Pick: Liberty Moneyline (+120)
