Inter Miami not playing with Lionel Messi in the side during the US Open Cup final was already a huge blow, added to the fact that they were coming up against a Houston Dynamo side who were fully up for the fight.
As such, the Texan team whipped Miami for the first 45 minutes, causing the all-conquering pink wave to disappear from the off and concede two fantastically worked goals. Now, I might be jumping the gun with this, but don’t look like that – you’re here too – so let’s agree that we’re both just pessimists.
